Fees

Costs

Visa fee
EUR 90 (approx GBP 81)
Service fee
Visa fee EUR 90 per application (the TLScontact fees page records the increase 'from 60 to 90 euros'), fixed in euro but payable only in British Pounds at GBP 81.00, so the GBP figure moves with exchange rates. TLScontact service fee GBP 34.70, paid online when booking; the appointment is cancelled if payment is not received by the deadline. Total GBP 115.70 per applicant as published on 2026-11-01. Appointments themselves are free and the embassy does not work with external agencies.
Funds required
No per-day figure published — see the full funds requirement in your checklist below.

Different rules for some nationalities

  • Gambian nationals: a waiting period of 45 days still applies before applications are processed, and the Belgian Embassy records that the application fee for Gambian nationals 'was reduced back to EUR 120'.
  • Somali and Guinean nationals: from 10/07/2026 the standard processing period is set at 45 calendar days instead of 15; all supporting documents must be submitted in every case with no waivers; and an application with a departure date within 45 days of submission may be refused on that ground alone.
  • No processing figure is published for other nationalities beyond the 15-day standard.
